Welcome To Marlene Cronkite Mysteries

Marlene Cronkite Mysteries
Marlene Cronkite (Marli) has been solving mysteries most of her life. She grew up on the move, never spending more than a few months in one place. So it was only natural for her to wonder what mystery might lie around the next corner, the next town, or the next school. Not necessarily an easy life for one so young and naive. But the constant change had its advantages. Perhaps it is a different way of seeing things. For Marli, this was the life she knew. Marli found she had a knack for sketching the people in her life, the ones she left behind... her school chums, her teachers, the kids she played with on the street. This led not only to painting portraits in oil, but, as you've probably all ready guessed—writing mystery novels. See more: About The Author

MICHAEL DRAKE

Blood Gold is loaded with bad guys and they're all after one thing, GOLD. Afghanistan and war on the homefront has a defying link to-power, greed, and murder.

An old map and a treasure trove of precious gold trigger conspiracy and murder in a small lake town in California. When Marine Gunnery Sergeant, Michael Drake, returns home from Afghanistan, his wealthy father entrusts the map over to him for safekeeping—then vanishes. Now Michael becomes the target of his father’s sex addicted wife, a corrupt sheriff, and a hired gun. Blood Gold
Review:
This is a great book. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. Michael Drake is an injured vet who suffers from PTSD. He returns home to help the father who had disowned him. His father suspected that someone was trying to murder him. There are a lot of nasty characters in this book. Most of whom were interested in getting their hands on a map Michaels father gave him for safe keeping..a map to millions of dollars in buried gold. This book has everything that makes a good read. Suspense, a believable plot, double crosses, likable characters, and characters you want to see get what's coming to them. I hope there are more Michael Drake books coming from this author.
